I joined Pro in August 2019 as a Technical Analyst working within our Technical Accounting team. My initial role was challenging at first as I was working on Lloyds and London Market insurance. I had previous experience with London Market insurance but not Lloyds of London and it was a very interesting learning curve. I was fortunate to be able to visit the Lloyds building in London which helped me to understand the history of Lloyds and how business is transacted.
Having developed my Lloyds and London Market experience, I was given the opportunity to be a team leader and manage a team responsible for providing Lloyds Broker Services for our client. My role now includes looking after the team’s day to day needs; allocating work, helping with queries and reporting to our client on monthly progress.
We have various roles within our team so there is always an opportunity to broaden your horizons and expand your knowledge by picking up different tasks. We encourage multi-skilling so that the work never becomes tedious as individuals are able to work on different activities and support each other.
Pro have provided me with an excellent platform to showcase my ability and provided me with the right opportunities to develop my career down a management route. Pro have continuously provided me with additional responsibilities to further assist my development going forward.
There are many benefits of joining Pro but the one key benefit I would highlight is the support Pro provide to its employees in helping to advance their careers. This may be through providing support through training courses or providing additional responsibilities to individuals who are keen to expand their knowledge.
