María Florencia Villalva is a mother of three children with an extensive background in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and a postgraduate degree in Insurance Economics, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her profession. Over the course of her career, María has contributed her expertise to various international reinsurers and brokers, and for the past six years, she has been a valuable member of the Pro Global team.
In her current role as the head of the Insurance Services department, María oversees a range of projects in collaboration with national and international insurance and reinsurance companies. The primary focus of her department is to ensure the efficiency of processes, aligning them with the company’s goals and values.
María’s responsibilities include managing technical portfolios, conducting debt reviews and reconciliations, resolving disputes related to claims or debts, providing Human Resources support during periods of high demand, overseeing reinsurance audits, conducting reserve reviews, and preparing financial reports for regulatory authorities. Additionally, her team is involved in tasks such as premium and/or claims recoveries, quotation preparation and comparison, risk analysis related to reinsurance contract coverage, technical data processing and standardisation, monitoring regulatory and contractual compliance, reviewing and analysing reinsurance contracts, and negotiating commutation agreements.
