London, United Kingdom – 15th September 2026: Pro Global (“Pro”), a leading trusted advisor for the specialist insurance sector, has transferred £16,000 of its apprenticeship levy funds to support two people beginning careers in dental nursing in Liverpool.
Working with apprenticeship provider Aspiration Training, Pro’s funding is supporting two Level 3 Dental Nurse apprentices at Fiveways Dental Practice. Both apprentices joined the practice in May after previously being out of education, employment or training.
The initiative marks Pro’s first transfer of apprenticeship levy funds to another employer and its first collaboration with Aspiration Training. Liverpool was selected because of Pro’s established presence in the city and its commitment to creating a positive impact in the communities where its people live and work.
Rather than allowing available levy funds to go unused, Pro chose to redirect them towards training that could create meaningful employment opportunities and help another organisation invest in skills.
Ross Tominey, Training Manager at Pro Global, said: “Apprenticeships can be transformative, giving people a practical route into employment and the opportunity to develop valuable, recognised skills.
For us, this initiative is about what we can help enable. By transferring funds that were available in our apprenticeship levy account, we have been able to support two people as they begin their careers while also contributing to skills development in their community.
We hope our experience encourages other levy-paying employers to look closely at the funds available to them and consider how any unused allocation could create opportunities for people and businesses in their communities.”
Aspiration Training recruited the apprentices, connected them with Fiveways Dental Practice and is delivering the training and ongoing support needed to help them work towards their Level 3 qualification.
Dan Howard, Commercial Director at Aspiration Training said: “Unspent levy funds are a missed opportunity for the economy. Redirected properly, they create skilled workers where employers need them most.
Pro Global’s transfer has funded two apprenticeships in dental nursing, two people now earning, qualifying, and filling roles that local practices struggle to recruit for. That is public investment converted straight into productivity, addressing a genuine skills shortage rather than a theoretical one.
This is what collaboration between employers, training providers and local businesses can deliver. We would encourage every levy-paying organisation to ask what their unused funds could achieve on their own doorstep”.
The initiative reflects Pro’s values of “doing the right thing” and being “in it together”. It also complements the company’s wider work to strengthen its own apprenticeship offering, using structured learning to develop colleagues and build specialist capabilities across the business.
Employers that pay the apprenticeship levy can transfer unused funds to other organisations to support eligible apprenticeship training and assessment. Transfers can be directed towards particular sectors, skills or local communities, enabling employers to make a targeted contribution to workforce development and social mobility.
