Michael joined Pro Global in January 2021. Since joining Pro, he has led our Specialist Claims team which provides claims management services to our live market clients and legacy carriers of UK EL/PL liabilities. He was initially tasked with undertaking a review of the business to determine the optimum target operating model, leading to delivery of a programme of transformation including people, structure, processes, technology solutions, quality assurance, quality control, MI capability and a review of supplier arrangements, to ensure that Pro Global drives the best outcomes for our clients through a value-added proposition.

Michael has previously worked for solicitors, brokers, TPAs and insurers (live and run-off) handling claims and managing teams. Michael began to specialise in EL/PL occupational disease and illness claims in the live market in 2005. In 2010, he moved into the run-off market where he continued to manage disease and illness claims with a particular focus on construction risks and latterly the public sector (including a range of sensitive claims). He has significant involvement in handling test case litigation in HAVs, Asbestos-Related and sensitive claims, including group actions and policy trigger litigation. He has also been involved in work on a range of Inquiries e.g., the Hillsborough disaster and IICSA.

Michael has extensive experience of operational transformation, claims tech and influencing the market through responses to consultations and involvement in various market forums. He currently chairs IRLA’s Legacy Committee.
