David is Managing Director of GSI Professional Services, Pro Global’s compliance, audit and training practice in Australia, based in Sydney.
He has more than 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, beginning his career at NZI and going on to hold senior roles at MMI (Allianz), CIC Winterthur, Willis, Aon, CUNA Mutual, ACE, Arch Insurance Group and Talbot Underwriting. He founded and led Celestial Underwriting Agency as Managing Director, joined Gold Seal as a consultant in 2017 and became a director in 2018, and has led GSI as Managing Director since 2020.
A senior executive with a strong profit and loss orientation and a technical underwriting background, David has developed new products and business ventures across the Australian insurance market. His work spans compliance and risk management; audit management across underwriting, claims and broking; licensing and operational readiness; technical wording development; and the oversight of third party administrators, coverholders and broker relationships. He has detailed knowledge of general and life insurance and reinsurance, in both underwriting and claims.
